### Cupping Therapy Our approach to cupping is different from traditional "set and forget" cupping treatments. At Mind to Muscle, we combine massage therapy and cupping therapy throughout the session to maximize results. While one area of the body is being treated with cups, your therapist may simultaneously work on another region through massage, movement, stretching or soft tissue techniques. We may also alternate between massage and cupping on the same area to create a more effective treatment outcome. Cupping works by creating gentle decompression of the tissues beneath the skin. This can help increase local circulation, encourage lymphatic flow, reduce feelings of tightness, create a fascial stretch, and promote the body's natural healing response. Many clients find cupping particularly beneficial for muscle soreness, inflammation, recovery from training, chronic tension and restricted movement. One of the biggest misconceptions about cupping is that darker marks mean a better treatment. Our philosophy is quite the opposite. We believe effective cupping only requires a mild pink or light red response in the skin, indicating increased circulation and tissue response within the area. While some marking can occur, our goal is not to create large dark welts or excessive bruising. Dark purple or black marks are often the result of significant capillary damage beneath the skin. While this can occur during more aggressive cupping techniques, we believe excessive tissue trauma may create an unnecessary inflammatory response that can sometimes slow recovery rather than support it. Our therapists use a more refined and targeted approach, applying only the amount of suction required to achieve the desired therapeutic effect. This allows us to promote circulation, tissue decompression, lymphatic support and recovery while minimising unnecessary tissue irritation. This approach is particularly important for sensitive bodies, first-time cupping clients, and anyone who tends to bruise easily or responds strongly to manual therapies. We adjust pressure, duration and technique to ensure the treatment remains comfortable, safe and effective for each individual. This method has been developed through years of clinical experience to ensure cupping remains comfortable, effective and focused on achieving the best possible results for your recovery, movement and overall wellbeing. Cupping may be beneficial for: • Sports recovery • Muscle tightness and
Cancellation Policy
Payment, Bookings and Cancellations □ I understand full payment fee is required on the day of consultation. □ I understand that at least two hours’ notice needs to be given prior to making an appointment. □ If I cancel my appointment on the same day it is scheduled I will be charged a $30 Cancellation fee. The cancellation policy is in place to make sure appointments are kept available for others who need them and that you respect the therapists time. □ If I fail to show up or cancel within an hour of my appointment, I will be charged the full (100%) appointment fee. Please understand that this is the therapists full-time job, and they rely on their appointments to support themselves. Cancelling within an hour or not showing up leaves the therapists out of pocket with not enough time to fill that spot. □ I appreciate that sometimes life can be unpredictable and short notice may be unavoidable, in such cases in situations out of client’s control, this policy will be advised and considered individually. □ I understand that if I have any contagious condition, explicitly cold or flu, I will give the therapist as much notice as possible. If I arrive to my appointment with any sign of sickness my appointment will be rescheduled, and I will be sent home.
